Bad Puppet Web Designs was created in early 2008, after working on maintaining the website for Disc Co, a long term friend and sister company to us, and creating the website and branding for Disc Co Play word spread about the type of designs that we were doing. After many positive reactions we were then approached to create website's for other companies. This reputation is currently growing, and the client list is too. This would be the perfect example of reputation preceding anything else..
So where did it all start? Well without going too sentimental I first got a PC when I was about 14 (preceding a long list of others including spectrums, acorn electrons etc.) which was promptly taken apart. From there in my main background has lied in IT and design. My first sites were created in windows 3.1, using what was not more than a glorified notepad, coding everything by hand using HTML code. Since then I have worked closely within the computer industry and have always been on hand to create designs where needed.
Now things are much simpler to code, but more complex in design. It seems that less time is spent on the actually way a site is run in the back end but more about how it looks. Is this a bad thing? I don't think so. Gone are the days where people used the internet just for information purposes. Although this is the main underlying of any businesses website, the key factor is that is should be just a pleasing on the eye, People will stay on a site that is easy to look at, whereas a brightly colored, over complex or even a site with dare we say too much information is not always a good thing.
Pastel colors that are relaxing, simple clean and effective design are at the forefront and are very much in vogue at the moment. Personally I like this type of design. Life is hectic enough, the web should be a nice place to relax.
So what can I do, well I don't profess to know everything. I am not a web design guru, But if there is something specific you want on your site, then it can pretty much be done. What will be done is a nice effective, attractive design that will entice visitors in and return to your site. Take a look at my portfolio on this site (I have notice some designers 'leaving' this bit out I ask myself why?), and see what you think for yourself. There is no better gauge of a designer than their work. I have no problems showing this, some designs you may like, some may not be too your taste, but there is a different style for everyone and every type of business.
Thanks for taking the time to visit us. We know you have a choice of web designers and hope to hear from you soon.
